Volunteers have been a core of the organisation of Terra Incognita in previous years. We are grateful to every individual that has helped this race to grow on such high level. This year we welcome you again and invite you to share this extraordinary experience with us. It will be again a hard and challenging task making this even work in the best possible way. This year the Organisation will be put on another test along with competitors that will race to incredible course.
Work description
Volunteers will work on every segment of the race, accordingly to their skills, abilities or personal demanding. Here is division of the tasks:
Race headquarters
Transportation
Logistic
Handling of the check points and transition areas
Communication department and press centre
Terra Incognita production team
Administrative work
Support of the safety crew
Support of the medical crew
Travel
Volunteers are responsible for their own travel to the meeting point.
Transportation, accommodation, food
Terra incognita will provide transportation and accommodation and supply food and drink for all volunteers from 5th to 11th of September 2005.
Criteria for volunteering
Every person older that 18 years can volunteer at TI. Accordingly to your skills and previous experience, we will reply your request for volunteering and answer you in positive or negative way because volunteers are limited to 25 persons.
Equipment
Every person that is registered as a volunteer must have following mandatory equipment:
Sleeping bag
Backpack
Warm jacket or wind stopper
Rain jacket
Glows
Hat
Sunglasses
Shoes for outdoor environment
Headlamp with extra batteries
Document and certificates:
Every person that is registered as a volunteer must have following documents and certificates:
Passport
Medical insurance
Medical certificate
Signed Volunteers Agreement Document (provided by TIAR Organisation)
Registration
Everybody interested in volunteering must fill out the registration form. Volunteers are limited to 25 persons.
